These terms are a legal agreement between you and Rayan Aman (“we”, “us”), the operator of the Orma app (“Orma”, “the app”). By creating an account or using Orma, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Orma. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use it with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the app you confirm you meet these requirements.
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything that happens under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep it current. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Orma is offered as a beta. It may contain bugs, change without notice, lose or corrupt data, or be unavailable at times. Features may be added, changed or removed. We provide the app “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Orma records and displays location. It is not a safety, emergency, or navigation tool, and must not be relied on as one. Do not use it while driving or in any way that endangers you or others. Think before you share: anything you reveal to accepted friends or post in a community exposes places associated with you. You are responsible for who you add and what you share.
You agree not to:
You keep ownership of the photos, comments, and other content you create in Orma. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate and provide the app — for example, showing your photo to a friend you shared it with. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we are required to retain by law or that have already been shared with others.
You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to post it. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are harmful, and we offer in-app tools to report and block other users.
You may stop using Orma and delete your account at any time from Settings → Safety & privacy → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the app to you would expose us or others to risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example, ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
Orma relies on third-party services (including Apple, Supabase, Mapbox, Expo, Sentry, and OpenStreetMap). Your use of the app is also subject to Apple’s App Store terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Orma. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
We may update these terms as the app evolves. If we make material changes we will update the date above and notify you in the app. Continuing to use Orma after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory local consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
